The Art of Packing. That sounds fitting. Luckily we don’t have to go through this process everyday. I’d say the worst packing job we had to manage was when we were hiking Mount St. Helens on August 6th (having to fly to Portland for a few days and then back to Grand Rapids.) And then also, simultaneously packing for this SE Asia trip. This is our process of packing that I documented while we were on our way out of Ho Chi Minh City. We try to keep organized with a few Eagle Creek Pack-It Cubes
so that we can know exactly what is where, and where that goes. Just an extra way to save some time and know where everything is located.
We both have 40L REI packs. Unfortunately we bought them through the REI Outlet site and they no longer seem to be available. My bags are on the left, I have a full size North Face backpack and my 40L REI pack. Jen has a a Gregory day pack (blue), probably 15-18L. The final image is what we go through airport security with. Those rain covers have become invaluable. We have to run a tight ship and not buy too much because there isn’t much room. I just thought everyone would like to see what we’re rollin’ with as far as our luggage goes.
